Springtime @ the Farm

I really hesitated before I typed the title "Springtime" since our weather has flipped back to the colder side, but I know that spring will be here in full force soon.  The 80's that we had a week ago got me excited about going outside and planting so that I had to force myself to not do something that I would regret.  Now that we are looking at ice on everything, I'm thankful.  I have to admit, we had a pretty easy winter (so far, just kidding!).  I heard someone say to me that instead of having a hard winter, we had hardly any winter.
Spring is my favorite time of year - besides summer, that is - and with spring comes new birth.  The first to arrive on the scene were 5 little bunnies from proud parents Polly and Buck.  Actually, I think Polly will be glad to be rid of them since they are eating her out of house and home. They are almost all spoken for and will be ready to go just before Easter.  We are also expecting some kittens (Oh joy, Libby was naughty!) and some new kids later in spring.  Some friends are trying to incubate duck eggs for us, so hopefully we will have some new little quackers in about 3 weeks.
My list of to-dos on the frig is getting longer by the minute, and I can't wait for some more good weather to go outside and have more fun!  If you ever want to come out and visit some animals, give us a call and bring the kids.  I might even have a free bar of our soap to give you - which reminds me that I had better go make some more.  Happy spring!
